About two years ago our Cali, was diagnosed with cat hyperthyroidism and possible beginnings of kidney disease, which are both common ailments especially for mature cats.

Cali was about 14 years old at the time. She is a calico with some Siamese ancestry, thus a very vocal girl; often, too vocal! She showed up on our deck when she was an older kitten, right at the time we had adopted two other kittens. She has outlived them all.

The vet prescribed a thyroid medication. When we looked up the side effects we knew we would not want to take it ourselves. So we decided not to use it.

I did a web search for "homeopathy for cats" and Pet Wellbeing was one of the items that came up. We liked the website, the description of the products for Cat Hyperthyroidism, and chose to give "Thyroid Support Gold" (see below) a try right away. 

Since then she has been on twice daily doses of Thyroid Gold, Kidney Support, Agile Joints, and Calming Care (because she has always been a very nervous cat).

She has held her weight steady, has a good appetite, enjoys time with us on the sofa, and small forays onto the sunny deck or in the yard.

She's a bit cranky, hates our male cat, Scottie, yet otherwise lives an easy life. Cali is not fond of our assaults with the drops, but if she knew what they were doing for her she would be most grateful!

At age 17, she is the longest-lived cat we've ever owned, and she shows no signs of stopping!
